21 Weeks & He Has A Name :)

I am finishing my 21st week and feeling good.  I went to the doctor and I gained 4 pounds the last 4 weeks so that is a total of 11 pounds so far.  My appointment was quick and easy which is always a good thing.  Last week Lance & I decided on his name.  He is Bennett Lance Newton.  Landon loves telling people baby Bennett is his brother.  I love hearing him say that too!
Last week our friends the Dailey's came in to town and so they came over for dinner Monday night.  I wish they lived closer to us but that just makes our visits extra special.
For some reason we swapped kiddos for the pictures :)
This week we've also been attending many Halloween things.  Our church always has a trunk or treat so that was Wednesday night.
Here is our class before we went trunk or treating!  Aren't they so sweet?!?
 My sweet Woody!
Eating a few pieces from their buckets.
Last night we attended the Sherry's Annual Halloween Bash.  They have it down at their barn and always decorate it so cute.  They kids get to play and they have a hayride.  For some reason we always leave before the hayride.  Last night Lance wasn't able to go with us so that is why we missed it this year.  Preggo here was tired after about 2 hours of chasing Woody around :)
Landon was pretty scared of the barn-they had Halloween music playing.  He eventually got over it!
It is hard to get in the pictures lately but I had my sister take one of us real fast.
This is my sister and her spiderman Christian.
Bradford and I checking out the horses with our boys.

There was a lady there dressed as a clown.  At first Landon had nothing to do with her but before long he was all about her-maybe it was the ring pops.  He would go up to her and say "Hey clown where is Christian?  Hey clown I need to go get chips.  Hey clown I have to go pee pee."  She was enjoying his company!
 He is the sweetest thing!

Eating dinner in the barn by his buddy Brayden.  Brayden's mommy is about to have her baby and I'm so excited to see what they have.  They wait to find out...not sure how she can do that.  If it is a boy they are naming him Jackson Bennett and calling him Bennett.  Isn't that a crazy thing?  We each had no clue we were using that name.

Look at the yummy and adorable cupcakes!  They were so good.
 I chose the spider cupcake.
The other night Landon was brushing my hair after I took my shower.  Lance and Judy were here in the living room watching the Cardinal game.  I was trying to get Landon to go play with Nana's hair because I needed to go blow dry my hair and Judy told him to come brush her hair.  He said "Don't Relax" instead of the "Just Relax".  It was pretty funny.
Tomorrow night we are going over to my parents house to go trick or treating and I hope that after nap Landon & I can finally carve our pumpkins.  We have to get those finished b/c this momma is already thinking about her Christmas tree :)

Halfway There

Today has been a perfect fall day with cooler temperatures and the cloudy/rainy weather.  I really wish I could have spent the day in my pj's and cuddled with my little boy but instead we had to go to school.
This week also marks the halfway point in our pregnancy.  I am 20 weeks and feeling pretty good.  I have had heartburn the last couple of days and that doesn't always feel the best.  We had our ultrasound last Friday and we got to see our baby boy again.  It was so neat and he looks so big.  The ultrasound has me measuring 4 days ahead of my due date but again they will not change my due date so still March 5th.  We took Landon with us so he could see his brother.  When the lady turned on the heartbeat Landon got pretty scared and I think he was finished at that point.  It was neat because during the ultrasound we could see baby boy blinking his eye.  I don't remember seeing that with Landon.  Oh and hopefully soon we'll decide on a name and I won't have to call him baby boy.  Here are my belly shots through the last couple of weeks.

Week 19

Week 20

Back at the beginning of this month I had my 10 year class reunion.  I'm sure I complained about having to help put it on but it really turned out great and I enjoyed the weekend.  Friday night we went to the MH football game which was Landon's first game.  We spent most of the night sitting in the stands watching the game so we didn't do too much visiting.  Saturday night we had the dinner/grown-ups only part of our reunion.  We had it at Big Creek and it was dinner & music.  This preggo did not bust a move.
This is Kim and Megan.  The 3 of us have been best friends since 2nd grade.  They truly are like sisters to me and I love them so much.  Megan and I talk almost every day on the phone or in text.  She lives over in Centerton so I don't get to see her as much as I'd like.  Kim is back in MH and is a wonderful dentist in town.  She is full of energy...still!  She was in charge of the reunion and she did awesome.  I was her assistant :)  Kim and I should see each other a lot but we don't.  We are horrible but life is just busy.
This is preggo, Marjorie, Katie and Kim.  I cheered with Marjorie since 9th grade.  She is crazy and tall like me.
Kim and I before Lance and I left the reunion.  We might be considered boring to some (it was 10:15 PM at this point which is way past my bedtime) but we love our life.  It was kind of weird being around people I went to high school with and I think some thought the same way!

This past weekend we went to Viola for our family trip to the pumpkin patch.  We got over there Saturday around 5:00 and Lance was already working.  He was on the tractor and of course Landon wanted to ride.

Lance worked till supper and then started again Sunday morning.  When he was finished he took Landon and I for a ride around the land on the chuck wagon.  His parents have about 150 acres and it is very beautiful.  I wish she lived closer to us or that we lived closer to her.  We headed up to the pumpkin patch around 12:15 so we could be there when it opened.  Landon had fun and I always find good pumpkins there.

This year we rode the horse and buggy.  With this ride and the ride around the land - I'm lucky I am not further than 20 weeks otherwise we just might have had a baby.  Those sure were bumpy rides!

I think I'm finally caught up.  Tomorrow Landon has picture day and I can't wait to see them.  He is also going to get his first class picture.  How cute is that going to be?!?

Week 17 and a surprise...

I will go ahead and tell the surprise part.  I went to my doctors appointment Friday - so it was the end of my 17th week.  My doctor said, "so do we know what we're having?"  I told him not yet but we could if he'd do a quick ultrasound.  I also told him that I told Lance I was going to ask about that (Lance didn't go to this appointment which I don't blame him).  The doctor said, "Well do you have time to wait?  Cause we might just do it since Lance didn't come."  Did I have time to wait to find out what baby #2 is?  Umm...YES!!  I had already waited way over an hour to see the doctor and it was after 4:30 so I could wait a bit more.  So after his last appointment we went down to do the ultrasound.  And we saw a....BOY!!!  We are having another boy and we can't wait.  I'm really excited about Landon having a brother and both Lance and I know how to raise a boy.  The doctor sent Lance a text telling him he saw a boy.  I thought that was funny that he did it.

So here are my preggo updates.
Total Weight Gain/Loss  7 pounds...seems like a lot.
Maternity Clothes?  Not yet but still using the rubber band on some pants...luckily most of my clothes are working with my growing belly
Sleep?  still up once through the night
Best Moment of the Week:  finding out it's a boy
Movement:  Oh yes and it's the movement where I can see my belly move.
Food Cravings?  tator tots from sonic
Gender  BOY
Belly button in or out?  out
What I miss?  Being able to eat whatever I want.  Still trying to be good with blood sugar.
What I am looking forward to:  Going through all of my boy stuff again and getting it ready for this baby.
Milestones:   Going days with no medicine :)
Things I've experienced this week:  I did order/buy some maternity jeans since I can wear them to work on Friday.
Size of baby:  onion

And the latest belly shot....be ready...it's huge!

I took one the next morning b/c I always say it gets bigger throughout the day.  But I'm thinking that isn't true.  I'm just big 24/7.
And here is the big brother!  We played outside the other evening for 2 hours.  He had fun and I got to sit and enjoy the great weather.  I do like being outside but I think I got 10 mosquito bites.  That is why I stay inside...those things love me.
Yesterday Gwen and I went shopping for the day.  It was nice!  We never get to do anything just the two of us anymore so it was good to catch up.  Poor Gwen though!  I think she took me on every shortcut road and I think I got a little car sick-no throwing up just felt blah.  We had to take a few breaks while shopping to feed me b/c I felt a little weak here and there.  And I think I lost my motivation to shop.  But I really did have fun even though I might sound pitiful.

This next weekend is my 10 year class reunion so I'll be busy finishing all of that up.  I wasn't a class officer but my BF from high school kind of got stuck doing it alone so she recruited some girls who live around to help her.  Lots of work but I know it will be fun!

Week 16 and Catching Up

I hope I can stop writing "catching up" in my titles but no promises on that.  I am just lazy and haven't made much time to sit down with the computer.
So about the pregnancy...I am in my 16th week and I honestly can't believe it is going so fast.  Here are some stats:

Total Weight Gain/Loss  I'll have to check that out at the doctor next time I go
Maternity Clothes?  Not yet but I have been using a rubber band on some of my pants just to because it is more comfy for me
Sleep?  What sleep?  I wake up around midnight and have to go to the bathroom and then I toss & turn the rest of the night b/c I think I have to sleep on my side which isn't always easy.
Best Moment of the Week:  Just feeling good and being able to go on a date with my boys this weekend
Movement  I am definitely feeling my baby move and sometimes I can see it.  As I am typing this I am feeling my baby move.  I've even made Lance and Landon feel stuff.  Love that!
Food Cravings?  I would have to say it has been cherry icee's from Burger King
Gender  ???
Belly button in or out?  Oh it has been out for a long time.  Definitely a balloon tie and no hiding it!
What I miss?  I guess it would be the sleeping through the night
What I am looking forward to:  Buying maternity clothes here soon
Milestones:   Being in the 2nd trimester and only taking my nauseous medicine in the evening
Things we experience this week:  My belly is definitely popping out and pretty much everyone knows I'm pregnant.
Size of baby:  avocado

Well since I last posted I had a pretty scary day.  I went to the doctor for my regular appointment August 31 and everything was great.  Well at school the next day, I took my kiddos to their special and went to show off my ultrasound pictures.  I was talking to a teacher and I started to feel weird - light headed, seeing spots.  I told her I wasn't feeling good and decided to try to get to the lounge which wasn't too far away.  Well lets just say...I didn't make it there.  I ended up passing out and apparently I feel into the wall (brick wall) and hit my head, scratched my hand and knee, and just scared the poo out of everyone.  When I came to I already felt better so I started to get up and someone helped me to the bathroom.  I like the cold when I feel yucky.  Our school nurse came and checked me out.  All of my vitals were fine but I had to go to my doctor just to be safe.  My sister had to come drive me and Lance met us there.  Everything was fine with baby (I had to hear the heartbeat to make myself feel better) and my doctor told me it was a low blood sugar attack...so I have had to change my eating habits and add protein in every 3 hours.  He sent me home for the rest of the day which this happened at 8:30 so it was early and I iced my head b/c that was the worse part of it all.  I should have taken a picture of the knot b/c it was good.  Sweet Landon told me not to fall and hit the wall b/c he didn't want me to break like Humpty Dumpty.  He makes me smile!!!  So other than that I have been fine and taking care of myself.

I have mentioned my growing belly and I'm not gonna hide it anymore.  I'm telling you it is a lot bigger this pregnancy.
Crazy big right?

Ok now let me talk about my other sweet baby!  Landon is doing awesome!  He earned another crown at school.  This time it was his Spanish crown - he counts to 10 in Spanish :)
We've been doing some fun things lately.  We went to Silver Dollar City with my sister, her two older kiddos, and my parents.  It was over Labor Day and the weather was perfect.  We didn't leave till 8:30 and we should have left earlier b/c we had to wait quite some time in line.  Of course Lance was timing it and at one point we had moved 1 mile in 30 minutes.  YIKES!  Once we turned at the stop sign we actually went faster and it wasn't horrible.  Landon rode his first rides and loved them, we ate lots of good food, and the thing Landon remembers most is going in to jail.  The kid can't forget it b/c it scared him.  In the little jail there is a man (a dummy) sleeping and he is snoring.  If we pretend to snore he tells us to stop snoring like the man in jail :)  It's kind of funny but I have to stop teasing him.
Here is a picture of him once we left.  We didn't even make it out of the parking lot before he was about out but he wouldn't give me my pickle.

This past Friday Lance and I took Landon to the fair for the first time.  We had to check out the animals and then we went for the rides.  We ended up finding the Sumpter's so Landon got to ride with Brayden and I got to catch up with his momma who I miss (we taught together at Flippin).

After the fair we decided to go eat at Colton's.  It was a wonderful night out with my favorite boys!
Oh and once we got home my OCD boy played with his cars and look what he did.
He finally crashed after about 30 more minutes and I was very happy about that b/c the next day we had to go to Branson and get some fall clothes for the big boy.  What a weekend!

Big Boy

So much going on and I'm just too tired to post!  I am now 13 weeks which means I'm starting my second trimester.  Thank you Jesus!  I hate to complain but the last seven weeks have been very difficult.  I was nauseous 24/7, throwing up at least once a week, and I tried three different medicines to try to help with my nausea- which none of them really did.  I prayed that I would wake up on my 13th week feeling some relief.  I honestly didn't pray to feel normal - I just wanted some of it taken away.  And let me say - prayer works!  I have not taken any medicine today.  I even had a girl throw up in my room right at 8 AM and made it through that.  Yes I've had to keep candy my mouth most of the day but I can deal with that.  Now as the night goes on I'm getting pretty tired and feeling a little blah but hopefully here soon I'll just go to bed and I'll be able to fall asleep before it gets worse.  I could be tired b/c I think I got up three times to go to the bathroom.  I usually just wake up once but for some reason last night was different.  Oh the joys of pregnancy!  I know this baby is worth every thing I'm going through and what I'm putting everyone else through.  Love my boys and their patience with this mama.  We go to our next appointment Wednesday so I'll try to post about that.
Now about my sweet baby Landon...he started in a new classroom at school - a bigger boy room.  He is doing great and he seems so much bigger to me.  I used to carry him and pass him off to the teacher but in Ms. Alicia's room he just gets down and goes.  They have carpet time and the kid is a sponge and learning so much.  I ask him what today is and he gets it right.  Then he goes on and can tell me the rest of the days in order.  I asked him what month and he knew we were in August.  He's so cute!  Today he earned his colors crown.
Since he did so good we went and got an icee and Burger King.  Ok actually I'm craving them so I can't blame it on him. :)
My school year is going good!  I have a good group of kids and things are definitely getting easier.  The first week or so can be rough for Kindergarten just b/c it is all new to them.  I'm glad we are starting to figure things out.

3 + 1 = 4

Where oh where have I been?  Well I guess I could start off by announcing that I am PREGNANT!!!  I am 10 weeks now and I'm due March 5th.  We found out right before our summer vacation and we are very excited.  I have been feeling awful.  It started at 6 weeks and just got worse every day.  I have been nauseous 24/7.  My doctor gave me phenergan but it gave me a terrible headache so now I have Zofran.  It works ok but I pretty much keep a cinnamon hard candy in my mouth all the time which makes me feel better.  I started back to work this week and I've been doing ok.  It might be because I'm super busy and I am not just sitting at home.  Who knows but hopefully it will fade soon.  I was not sick with Landon and so this pregnancy is definitely different so far.  We also heard the heartbeat last week and it was 180.  I need to get Lance to take my belly shot soon.  I've taken some in the mirror but not going to post those...not the best shot!  I think I've gotten a little belly already.
So with baby #2 coming soon we decided to get Landon out of our bed and into his big bed.  We started Saturday night and it's gone pretty good.  He wakes up around 3 or 4 and one of us just go sleep with him.  I think we are pretty happy with how it's going so far.  Landon is such a good kid and I am so excited to see him as a big brother.  He is going to be such a big helper and the best brother ever.  Oh and he tends to call the baby his sister.  Maybe he'll be right.
Please keep our new baby in your prayers that it grows strong and healthy.
