A Little Shorter

So I've been wanting to cut my hair short for some time now.  My sister always tells me I won't do it...which she's usually right.  But on Monday I called my man Adam and luckily he squeezed me in after school.  I told him it was too long and all I ever do is sleep on it wet and throw it up in a nappy ponytail.  BORING!  So here is a few pictures of it before.

And the after.

It isn't anything to drastic but it helped my itch for short hair (for now).  I think it looks and feels so much better.

Oh Lordy!!!

Well Landon had his first day of Top Flight.

And I think it's safe to say we also had our last day of Top Flight.  I hate that he cried and didn't enjoy it but I'm not going to force him to go if he doesn't want to.  There was a lot of people in the gym at first but they split them up and a bunch of them went to the other gym.  He had his cousin Christian there and a few kids he knew from daycare but he still wouldn't participate.  We sat and watched and he finally said he wanted to go.  He made it about 10 minutes but started crying again.  He thought it was hard which I tried explaining to him that it's just fun and all kids were there to learn.  My sweet Landon is just like me.  I like my routine and I am not a big crowd person.  So I need to remember not to sign him up for stuff anymore.  Maybe he'll eventually like things like this but until then...NO MORE!

School is in Session!

Well we've made it through 12 days of school and so far it's going great!  I started back on August 13th for fun in-service and we had open house on the 18th.  I got to meet all my new kiddos BUT another exciting thing was introducing my baby to his teacher.

Lance brought him since I was working but I did get to walk around with them.

He seemed to be comfortable and super excited.

We had our first day on August 20th.  Landon's first day of Kindergarten and my 10th year teaching.

He picked out a wrestling backpack and lunchbox (of course) so he was ready!  When we got to school he wanted to go in the morning room with the kids and watch the show.  It made me a little sad since he left me but it was a good thing.  His teacher is Mrs. Kasinger and we love her.  She's on my POD so I get to see him all day.  I tell him he's lucky to have his momma with him!  He usually takes his lunch but he's ate a couple school lunches, he has a good friend named Luke (must be a special name for him since he has Luke B. already), and he really likes PE.  Next week we have our first field trip which is walking to the fair.  His daddy will come walk with him since I'll have my class.  And I thought school would wear him out but he's done pretty good...except on this day!  And I have no clue why he took his shirt off.

I love this time of year!  The fair is coming to town, we are getting closer to fall, football has started, and the days are busy.  Tomorrow Landon is starting Top Flight which is a basketball camp.  It's last for 4 weeks and he's really excited!  They practice Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings.  We also start back with Blast at church which him and his dad do.  I don't want to send Bennett to nursery after being at daycare all day so we are not going this year.

Bennett is doing good!  He's so funny and just a little delight.  This age is fun to me.  He loves stealing my headbands and this is the pose he gives me.

I'm doing T25 again and trying to stick to the schedule (I usually jump fromT25 to Jillian).  I've completed two weeks so far and I sometimes have a workout partner.

We had the Benton's over last weekend to watch the first HOGS game and the boys enjoyed playing.

The boys went over to Nana's house last Monday to do some things and on the way home they were out before Lance got to Viola! Again...no clue why he took his shirt off.

My sweet boys!

I also decided to give the essential oils a try.  I love Thieves but I'm kind of scared of some.  One I diffused gave me a major headache so I'm being careful.  I'll see how it goes.

This afternoon Landon went with his dad and the guys on a dove hunt.  He was super excited and I can't wait to hear about it.
