Landon's First Field Trip

Landon had his first field trip this week.  On Tuesday, Landon's class went to the pumpkin patch.  We scheduled it where my class would be going to so I got to see him a little.  He was so excited about riding the bus and he ended up loving it.  He asks all the time when his next trip is!
Lance was able to come too and that was special for Landon.
The kids got to take a hayride, pick a pumpkin, go through a corn maze, see animals, & play on the sawdust hill.

He also earned an award for being a TERRIFIC KID this month!  So proud of him.
Bennett will hopefully be a terrific kid too...ha!
Little Bennett is sleeping right now.  He's had a cold thing going on so I kept him home today to hopefully get over it.  He's very clingy so I guess it's a good thing Landon wanted to go to school.  I told him he could stay home but he said he wanted to see his friends and missed Mrs. Kasinger.  I'm thankful he has such a good attitude for school.

1st Sleepover....

Yes we just had our first sleepover last weekend and no I'm not ashamed to say that.  Life is busy and my kids are easily entertained with us.  Maybe I'm just lazy!  So on to the sleepover...Landon asked his cousin Christian to stay the night and Christian was super pumped.  We met aunt Brooke about 4:45 and then came to the house.  I got the boys a goody basket and fun snacks because I thought they'd like it.

They loved their new pjs and I have no clue what's up with Bennett's face.  He's so silly!
They showed me their new suckers.

Lance brought home pizza.
They played downstairs (I think they got every possible toy out) and fought like girls!

And then finally it was bedtime.  I had Landon and Christian in our bed and Lance took Bennett to Landon's room.  We watched tv for a little and then I shut it off....like all normal people do...right?  Ummm....NO!  Apparently Christian doesn't like the dark and started to get upset.  I told him I'd turn on a closet light but it wasn't good enough and by this point he just wanted to go home.  So Landon cried because he didn't want Christian to leave AND I cried because I had to drive him home.  I didn't really cry.  Luckily it was only 9:15 so it wasn't too bad.

What I learned from this is that sleepovers aren't for me just yet, never turn the lights out on Christian, and having 3 boys would be hard if they fought like these boys did.

Guess I can't call it a sleepover.

The Boys Lately

Landon is doing great in school and he seems to be enjoying it!  He is reading and writing so good and he's everyone's little helper.  He got picked to say the pledge the other morning and was a rock star!  He knocked on my door one day and showed me his journal writing.  I was very impressed!!
It says "I am going to the football game with my dad!" He was excited about the Bomber game that night.  They watched them lose to Jonesboro but he still had fun.
He earned his first bookit pizza coupon so we cashed that in.
I think school wears him out though. Sometimes he falls asleep in the car & the shirt always comes off.
He lost his 2nd tooth.
He got a new haircut and said he really looked like John Cena now.
We both got a flu shot/mist this week and he did good but I think it messed up his allergies.  His nose was horrible a couple days that he even came to see me at nap time.
This was fire truck visit day and his eyes were all puffy and just looked miserable.

He fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up till 5:30 and continued snuggling after that.

When he finally woke up and was somewhat happy (we had to miss blast) he was ready to make his fire plan.
And speakinf of flu shots...mine didn't hurt but it left a good mark on me.  I even felt bad for a couple days after so I'm assuming that was the reason behind Landon's sickies.
Here is a cute apple art project he made the other day.
Bennett is growing a ton and doesn't seem like a baby to me.  I think he needs to be kept in a bubble though because he is straight up wild.  He's gonna cause me to have gray hair and wrinkles.  Last weekend Lance took the boys down to the river and Bennett decided to touch the side of the cooker.  So he had some blisters on both hands.

The next day we went for a ride around the house in our new side-by-side.  We just got this a week or so ago.

Saw two green snakes on the road.
When we got back Lance took the boys to swing and I ran inside.  It wasn't no more than 5 minutes and I hear them crying.  I figured they got in trouble but it turns out Bennett jumped off a step and fell.  He hit his head on a landscaping brick and boom...blood starts going.

Luckily it stopped bleeding and we didn't have to make a visit for stitches.  We watched him closely and he seemed fine.  He's definitely my tough guy!
I love these boys so much and I'm blessed to have them.  I can't believe they are almost 3 and 6.  It goes so fast!
